Is it fair to try to discover first what people think about an idea before you do anything about it, or to try to discover what a situation is really like before you become very involved in it?
Having been there, the trauma of unnecessary pangs of guilt celled me for the past few years of too much dreaming. It was not until I saw the walls up close that I came to realize that yes, it was something really not worth defending. Coating every situation with temporary ease, I fooled myself about the real score of the entire matter. For the longest time, I misinterpreted imprudence as happiness.
Testing the waters won’t hurt much if only you’re not riding on other’s welfare.
