The imminent overseas assignment saddens me of not tasting the cool summer breeze here in Manila. Worse, I shall miss my supposed-to-be-first-teambuilding-activity at the local office. I have yet to experience socializing with my colleagues apart from work concerns, and so moving away for quite some time does leave me dispirited.
My wanting to explore the grandeur of Boracay Island early before the Hong Kong trip was broken due to some environmental risks ─ tremors and tsunamis. I would have then opted to sail overnight off to the beach just to do away with those expensive airfares. Perhaps it’s not just the time for me to celebrate summer there and then.
As early as today, my cousin and I are planning to welcome the heat of summer in one of the best getaways I so long to experience - at a place more relaxing, more fascinating, and more unforgettable. To me it’s the crisp amidst my unremedied craving for swimming and island tours!
