It was one great and awesome performance! Seeing that audience was welcomed with a literal red carpet right after exiting the elevator, I knew for a fact that this was going to be a never-to-be-forgotten experience, and I wasn’t wrong. My nth time experience watching Broadway stage musical performed by our local excellent talents was constantly wonderful.

My friends and I were stunned in silence as we beheld the surprisingly pleasant presentation of every sing and dance number in Sweet Charity. The lead star, Nikki Gil’s extra-energetic stance heightened everyone’s interest all throughout the show. Playing the role of Charity Hope Valentine (no joke, that’s what her name really is in the play), I am reminded of how us women really wish to belong, to feel needed, and loved by a deserving prince no matter who we were in the time past and regardless of what cause it would take to follow our heart.

She was a taxi dancer in the 1960’s who aimed nothing but to find the right person who will give her the best reason to finally leave her line of work. Falling for the wrong men in every situation, she stood brave believing in herself as the strongest, soundest stoical, most heroical, the bravest individual she ever have met.
