in a child's eye

Me, behave? Seriously?

As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladdin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with 7 men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac Man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies that always had the munchies.

The fault is not mine!

Aww! It's scary to look at the child with a fierce face! Reading your post, the influence on what we go through and what we experience has a great impact in our life.

ay si Dai Ning..your chuckie pala when your a kid yikes scary wahhhhh..

I agree Dai Ning..train a child while he is still young..I do discipline my kids with the right ways that I know..but there is a big difference on discipline and abuse..being a single mom is never easy but I am proud to say I'm doing well of taking care of my kids and giving them the love that they should deserve..it is the right of every kid to be cuddled and loved..

Media and other influences are always there but it will always depend on a parent's guidance and it should start while their young..good habits can still be developed while they still listen hehehe..

We always think that kiddie videos are just safe. At the back of it, majority paves the way to malice and premature sins for the kids. Perhaps more than just watching any show with them, parents must be keen enough to understand the entire script and characters they present to these young minds.

hmp! good thing you didn't include mr. bean 'coz i'll be vewy vewy mad!

well, i believe these cartoons are made for innocent minds and the adults already lost the so-called "innocence" just how the original author of the quote had lost his(hehe),
but what i don't get is why adults are not prohibited watching cartoons? The values behind these videos are exactly not the things mentioned. Too bad that some adults watch these cartoons with malice and worst even make nasty vids for their own use.

After all, if an adult could really act her age, she won't find a problem in making this kind of entertainment an effective way of teaching right conduct and proper behavior to the kid.

In a child's eye, there's nothing more effective training than the actual scenes at home.

@LonelyToes: Thank you for dropping by! Hmm... btw, why are your toes lonely? ;')

@Bean: I do believe that a child bountifully nourished with the Word of God at an early age is irreplaceable with someone who grew up with fancy stories and fairy tales.

Spiritual growth is irreplaceable..and understanding a child's world is important.

I grew up w/o knowing what Disneyland is too, until I get to be at the place just a few months back. But I had years of spiritual values with David & Goliath, Samson & Delilah, The Creation, Good and Evil, The Cross, and a whole lot more. And I can never be prouder that I wasn't mesmerized by these shows for the "innocents" with visible malice when reviewed by adults.

i love bible stories since i was younger..i cut and made a mini- comic collection of the daily bible comics stories which made my entire school life with the priests and friars happier. My mentors at home and school used both Bible and fairy tale books in teaching the right from wrong.

Guess not all critics give proper judgment. I even met some who gave malicious interpretations on Bible characters.
