couple of the yearend

Murillo-Dumpit Nuptial, 29/12/12

Weddings – I love them. Every walk-in-the-aisle tells of a unique drama for each bride. We can see their graceful smiles; some tearfully perform their grand entrance and many just paint the day with their beautiful stance. Of course I have my own preference on how to look best on my own wedding day but I reserve the right to keep it to myself first until that very day comes.

Last weekend was my colleague-friend’s wedding. Had one very special friend didn’t die too soon before his wedding rites, this wouldn’t be my first time to attend a groom-friend’s event. Anyhow, it put me to excitement days ahead. I eagerly prepared for my dress and bought a new pair of shoes that glitter! Of course I didn’t dress up overly because everyone must account this day for the bride to be the most beautiful woman in the crowd.

As the church door opened, the rays of the sun stroke at the crimson red carpet where the bride took her dramatic march. I have seen her only once before but when I saw her dressed in perfect white wedding gown that afternoon, I had to catch another glance at her in total admiration. She’s very beautiful!

Not that I didn’t praise the groom but we see him everyday so his macho-gwapito outfit didn’t make such a big difference in his stance  (peace, Rodel! haha) BUT – the excitement, the passion, the indescribable happiness that can only be heard in an intimate chance – these all touched up his aura and made him emerge into a daring prince in a love story that will never end.

We all give cheers to the loveliest couple who ended their 2012 with the first day of their forever. Thank you for bringing us to this place where you shared your first day together as man and wife.
