Back in the country for 5 months now, I have learned to prioritize things to which I was highly deprived of for a long time: travelling with my best friend. The boyfriend was away while every couple was mindfully excited about the Hearts’ Day, so I thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea if we girls find some time, instead, to unwind. We really haven’t had much time yet like this since I came, so we both grabbed the opportunity. We joined another trip arranged by WOW Trippers giving us a fun-filled weekend of everything that flies! Yes, we were there at the 19th Hot Air Balloon Festival in Pampanga!
There are a lot of things I can think of to make my description appear
very real as it was on the event itself. But I will let these amateur videos
and photos speak about what happened during and in between the festival – when
our friends from WOW took us to the Shrine of Valour in Bataan for a side trip.
Above was the program kick off through the airing of the national anthem. I actually thought it was one big pillar thrown from one of the jets flying around the field. It was one spectacular start!
I never believed my mom and sister when they said there's actually a lift operated inside the historic structure until I had the ride with some eight others heading to the viewing gallery at the roof deck. It was simply awesome!
We may never have bouquets for Valentine's (I am not a fan of the event either since forever) but with our countless smiles captured that day, I was very sure that what we paid for returned to us twofold. It all compensated our early morning call time, the hopeless traffic jam, and the heat-stroke level afternoon sunlight.
