Noticing the busy crowd on the inaugural program of the incoming chief officers of the country, I wonder why some inopportune candidates lined up to the administration weren’t there to witness the historical occasion.
On every Filipino’s blood run the deepest objectives to serve the nation. I, for once, being an Iskolar ng Bayan dreamed of bringing glory to the country through public service. It’s the thought that counts, as we all perceive. It doesn’t matter how far you go to contribute something. It isn’t much to credit on you when things become victorious or not in the end. The real score stays put on the inner desire, that silent urge to be part of a national saga ─that is to help in whatever way we can in building a newer republic of the Philippines, whether you succeeded or lost the electoral battle.
