circumnavigation

We sallied forth at the vicinity of an unpopular dock and went around the island of north in a counterclockwise direction. The small motorized vessel, which could accommodate about twelve persons, journeyed westward towards a nearby islet.

With the South China Sea in the horizon, choppy waters were encountered which was a little uncomfortable, not for me though, but those who were not accustomed to traveling by sea. It was there that one could really get seasick when the big waves started pounding on the banca's starboard side. It then veered in a southwest direction and headed for the other point.

The journey took about two hours to circumnavigate the whole island. And it was really, really fun!
