granted birthday wishes

Thirty days before I turn a year older, I believe the Lord already has granted my birthday wishes in advance.

• Privileged to hop from one place to another ─off to scenic spots where I have not been to all my life─ I’ve seen how wonderful God’s creation really is! The pallid waves and majestic waterfalls, the three-storey-high rocks, the splendid greenery and the people, everything ascertains His glorious creativity. In one instance, I closed my eyes thinking I was just in a big fantasy but reality made the picturesque more vivid in my sight.

• Surrounded with real friends who know the song in my heart and can sing it back to me when I have forgotten the lyrics, I sleep well content at night. I know we all can grow separately without growing apart.

• My parents picture the frame of an ideal relationship. My sisters are the best treasures I have. Elise decorates our home with indisputable gladness. Blessed to have a God-centered family, I can’t ask for anything more.

• Being loved unconditionally is one of the best blessings reserved for me. Without much words to describe it, the Lord surely has the most excellent plan for my life ─ ours.

They say it takes a long time to grow young, and so I thank God for another set of candles to blow next month.
