strings of friendship

A nice game we had this afternoon. The instruction was to give yarns to three people ─ green for someone to want to befriend, orange for the one you miss, and yellow for someone you like to say sorry to.

Standing there as the oldest among the young crowd in the church, I expected to receive nothing at all. To my surprise, I got two remarkable strings of friendship. Faith tied the yellow cord on my arm as Hope handed me strings of yellow and orange only after the game. I adore these girls' bold candor for coming near me, not just for those colorful threads alone but for wordlessly accepting their fault in an old-time displeasure they caused me.

Time heals every wound. I believe it’s God who again worked at the back of the situation to repair my friendship with them that once was under par.
