Just to have a twist, I partied with a bigger crowd this year. The event led me back to my first year-end celebration with the Dutch team in 2008. Akin to not having enough time then to prepare for the party’s costume, I chose to buy ready-to-wear lower apparel today.
Surrounded by the veteran ship captains, department managers, team leaders and other group members all fully clad with colorful decors to come out fashionable and sophisticated, I came at the ballroom dressed with my own version of wearable art ─ jazzed up jeans. And of course, whooping it up wouldn’t be any glamorous without wearing a pair of boots.
I didn't bring home the Best Dressed Up Jeans award and yet the cool environment amidst our busy accounting season has defined another notable truth ─ regardless of age, this afternoon’s vibrant parade proved how everyone still enfolds a good taste in the trend of time.
