featured employee for the month

Yes, it is July. And before I consider this as just another ordinary month, a warm surprise zipped me into a few minutes of silence.

Emailed throughout the entire office, I needed to withstand the pressure of being featured as "employee for the month." As I filled in the list of something about me statements below, it tickled my mind how people's eyes would feast over my revelations.

• The thing I love most about what I do is finding my worth in it.
• People might be surprised to know that I am a freelance writer.
• The most important thing I’ve ever learned is never to limit what God can do for me.
• The secret to happiness is to know the Savior.
• My best ever outfit consisted of my pair of glasses. Without it, I see no one.
• The soundtrack to my life would include heartwarming hymns played in piano and violin by my sisters.
• If I were the most powerful person on earth, I would not allow another flood in Buendia!
• The best thing about family is that we love music.
• If money were not a problem I'd buy the Spratly Islands and name it Soil of the Philippines.
• When I retire, I would like to sit beside my grandchildren and together we'd look back on all my writings in life, with fondness.
• The thing that makes my life worth living is to know that this world is not my home. I am just passing through.
• My greatest hope for the future is to fulfill what I was created for.
• My favorite moments are when I stand at the shore of the wide waters and scream at the mountain top and pause, wondering why some still do not believe that there is God.
• My most embarrassing moment was to step on Singapore soil on a wee hour without a single local coin and one Pinoy attendant at 7-11 gave me five dollars. That's why I love Filipinos abroad!
• I’m saving up to go to Korea and Japan!
• My biggest indulgence is writing.

• I aspire to be like my mom.
• My Superhero is yet to come.
• The worst thing that ever happened to me was that I needed to choose between friendship and self-respect.
• And what this taught me was the two are inseparable.
• The thing that makes me most angry is disproving trust.
• When I’m gone, they’ll probably say Thank you.
• My current state of mind is preoccupied with the June closing!
• On weekends, some of the things I do are go biking at the park, stay for an hour or so at Powerbooks finishing some goodreads (but never really buy!) and SLEEP.
• If I were invisible for a day, I would sneak at my crush's room!
• The best thing somebody said about me was I am blessed with the way you cheer me up.

I always claim that I love introducing myself to others, and this is but another chance. So then this is me!
