food is just so irresistible

This week, being so stressful, led me to some sort of compromise to loosen up ─ food! I have always been underweight and so I push myself to eat heavy meal in the morning. However, I still try keeping an eye to what I eat because I don’t want to lose my slim figure and put my health at risk altogether for munching too much. But the past consecutive days were just so tempting!

One colleague just passed the CPA board exams so we had ice cream party, Cheese and Double Dutch to celebrate his victory. Day after, came an unplanned bowling tryout which was followed by mouth-watering pasta dinner. And today, before we send one expat home, 3 boxes of pizza were served on the table. Seating here, I realized how gluttonous I suddenly become this week. I wondered how much I already have eaten so I went online to check my calorie intake.
Based on the above calculation, I nearly reached over what is normal intake for me. For breakfast alone, I had 130 calories already for the cup of rice, plus the slice of fish I ate along with it (which I do not know how it measures). In the afternoon, I had another cup plus chicken drumstick adding another 130++ calories. For snacks, I grabbed four slices of tasty pizza at 140 calories each. And to top it all, I took fortified chocolate drink containing a spotless 200 calories! I couldn’t stare much at the calculator which showed me a total of 1,020 calories I had just for today, excluding the side dishes and chocolate bits I ate almost unconsciously while doing my work in front of the computer. Wow!

I don’t want to grow fat or grow a fat liver or boost sugar intolerance for eating a lot. Stress doesn’t bring me any good… but what can I do, food is just so irresistible when you’re down and helpless!

Oh my god, I so agree with you, food is so good, it would be a sin not loving it.
