my Starbucks (SB) victory

To be honest, I was not a diehard fan of any coffee, not even Starbucks. I don’t like coffee, simply put. But then after discovering that SB offers more than just plain coffee served in the households, I began to somehow like going there. At times when roaming around the mall feels so tiring to do, SB is the first thing I can think of. The notion of staying lazily inside, relaxing at the benefit of unlimited internet surfing over a cup of my favorite latte, or hot chocolate, is but an irresistible habit.

Last November 3, I was one of the many (I assume) aspirants as Starbucks Coffee held day one of their promotion for the free 2012 plan
ner. After the doctor visit, I took my sister Yulab for a free drink and I availed for the stickers pad. It scared me at first sight when informed that I need to complete 23 stickers for Option 1. So I chose Option 2 instead, requiring only 17 stickers with 9 holiday featured beverages including Peppermint Mocha, which I really longed for after its absence in the coffee world for quite some time.

The quest to complete the sticker requirement is a fusion of thrill and fun. Thrill because there are other two new flavors which I so doubted at the beginning if such would pass my preference, and fun because I have to use my most charismatic influence just so to make everyone around me say yes to join me for this SB addiction. Anyway, theirs are the orders, mine are the stickers! By the way, I tried Toffee Nut Frappe and I shook my head in disappointment. I didn't like it! Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha, served as hot beverage, on the other hand, is an excellent choice.

After barely three weeks (so fast!), I was able to complete the 17 stickers challenge. I spent the last-two-stickers-moment with my best friend, Nica at Megamall after our doctor visit last weekend. Among the six available organizer options, I chose Spruce and I love it being boxed along with a paper-designed bookmark and a small pouch too. Although the planner today is not as big as the one given in 2010 (which I also had), it’s still pretty nice to have something to treasure and call as my little victory to start off 2012.
