Since after the plan of my visit to Japan next year was talked about, I promised to tighten my belt and not engage into any unnecessary expense from the last quarter of this year up until I have my VISA on hand in 2012. I need to be seriously frugal!
To my surprise, Cebu Pacific again offered seat sale with travel dates at the start of next year’s quarter. The PHP 888 (base rate) offer for a one-way trip to Vietnam tempted me so bad that even my colleagues here gave in to the promo fare.
Yes, I will be flying to Ho Chi Minh for a 3D/4N trip in February. This time I will be bringing my other sister, Geah, along, plus four of my travel companions in Hong Kong, and another group of travelers ─ five colleagues and 3 new recruits. I might have broken my commitment to save up but at least another chance to explore the world outside the Philippines was opened.
The cost is irrecoverable but by essence, missing the opportunity to travel while we’re still “able” to do it, to me, is far more disappointing. As early as now, everyone is just so excited for that day. My sister, whose class is off on Tuesdays and Saturdays, now makes plans how she will be able to get herself excused on her Monday schedule while we all are still in Vietnam. I have to apply for her passport, by the way and undergo some boring procedures for DSWD travel permit for minors. This is her debut overseas travel, so as everyone’s first granted chance to go together for a grand vacation outside the country. I really pray that all things will work accordingly as planned.
