I ♥ Cebu!

Despite being born in the city, I am a true blood Visayan. My forefathers hail from the oceanic paradise of Southern Leyte, one of the major port of entries both in Visayas and Mindanao. I was raised in a remarkable nipa hut situated between the seafront and the mountains. Perhaps that is the very root of my being a nature enthusiast ─ I love camping and snorkeling!

The one crazy thing about me is that I haven’t gone to (or didn’t have that chance to be at) any surrounding place apart from our province. I’ve been to four different Asian countries in the recent years and islands after islands at both end of the Philippines, but seemed to missed exploring my own territory… until my last birthday came which I chose to celebrate in Cebu.

If you know that strong feeling of happiness when you’re there exactly at the place you’ve ever wished you were, maybe you’ll understand what my heart speaks that day. I was talking in local dialect to the chauffeur with a little pride. Hearing the people conversing everywhere was like music to my ears. I love the food and the countless picturesque places. I may not have stayed that long there but the experiences I had in Cebu was just as great as I did have in Bohol.

I promised to back to have a close encounter with the whale sharks!

My best friend is from Cebu, but I never had a change to visit the place. She is now in California U.S.A but maybe could when she come home as Balikbayan. The place according to my brother is lovely!
