It was during the licensure exam when I last felt that intensive tension, several years back. The last day at Kong Yuan was the toughest. We all bowed down our heads and rigidly concentrated on the much awaited Assessment Test for Basic Chinese 1.
After almost three weeks of waiting, our laoshi (teacher) notified us of our scores. I nearly flinched from sitting when informed that mine was just one point lower than the topnotcher.
Garnering 92.0, I ranked second among the 20- students in the class. Whew!

Hello Yileen!
Learning the language is a passion and having to rank second in the class is a dream-come-true!
Don't expect too much.I haven't sat in the class for a long time after that cycle, and so my Mandarin is perhaps a bit rusted already. ;')
