Pressed to work right on the day I arrived from my tour, I didn’t get to sleep as much. For getting ready off to the office again at 6am, all I obtained was sleep deprivation. Yes, less than four hours of rest with my back finally lying in bed. Time is the most precious belonging we, travelers have. And so I maximized mine during the nine days getaway offshore. I exchanged catnaps with photo ops and forty winks with side trips.
Now suffering from the period-end dilemma, I try not to be a pessimist for consecutively going home late and for dispossessing a big portion of that calming unconsciousness. I indoctrinated myself instead that it is far better to be awake oftentimes than not to wake up at all.
