Striping off a few mores while in a distant land, I realized what a big blessing it is to be a Filipino.
We may not be as wealthy as other Asians are, but we value cleanliness and personal hygiene with high regard. Going for street foods doesn’t mean compromising our health, and settling on cheaper souvenir items is not to trade off quality. We showcase more our special effort to be accommodating and make every tourist feel at home. Although blue-eyed citizens and other Caucasians do look more appealing than others, we certainly find ways to help every guest and make them feel comfortable. We’re simply friendly enough in entertaining our country’s visitors.
To my greatest astonishment, none from what I expected to feel was granted during my trip in Hong Kong. It was in this few days’ vacation that I finally grasped the essence of becoming just as I am ─ a simple traveler who longs to meet new discoveries outside my country and share the wonderful experiences I had to my friends and family.

Did you encounter any bad experience over there? Guess it's the culture that differentiates us. And that's what that makes you special. With all those you've mentioned, I'd love to visit Philippines one day. :)
Sure, Ling... I'll be glad to accompany you when you come ;') Perhaps cleanliness is what I was least expecting, oh well let's throw the customs out since personal hygiene should form part of the SOP not tradition.
