happy shrimp day

I am a full blood Filipino. Yes I maybe so fond of learning more about the Mandarin language, eating dumplings and got some songs humming in my mind but I am not really Chinese.

As the merriment around sparks in anticipation of the Lunar New Year, I was amazed to know that the water dragon, this year’s Chinese symbol, is real specie. Considering it ridiculous, I even joked that water dragon in real life is but an ever-delicious SHRIMP! Silly isn’t it?

I am honestly afraid of it, I don’t know but there’s this odd feeling when I hear the drum beating and see people carrying the big, big stuff toy roaming around. To each his own, so what they assume as pillar of good luck and prosperity is the very essence why these dragons come dancing from one place to another, almost every day until after the celebration.
